RECTOR

The Rev. Kevin Bartle was ordained to the priesthood and began serving as the rector at St. Mary of the Angels in 2018. He holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and has more than 20 years of ministry experience, ranging from student ministry to Christian leadership. Kevin also has the privilege of serving as a Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Diocese of Central Florida. 

He and his wife Jocelyn have been married since 2013 and have two adorable furbabies. When not in church, you can find Kevin grilling, fishing, or cheering on his beloved Atlanta Braves.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Joy is a follower of Jesus, a mom to three energetic boys, and someone who finds joy in bringing order to chaos. With a background in both general and special education, she brings a wide range of experience from teaching and coordinating ministry programs, to running her own small business and managing a household. She’s passionate about using her gifts in organization, communication, and problem-solving to support the mission of the church in meaningful and practical ways. Joy also serves as the Children’s Ministry Director for Holy Cross Episcopal Church.

Joy enjoys puzzles, pole vaulting, deep conversations, and going on adventures with her boys.

PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR & LEAD TEACHER

Shandra began serving as the Director for St. Mary's Preschool in 2022. She holds an A.S degree in Early Childhood Education, a B.S Degree in Supervision Management, and brings over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education to her team.

Shandra is married with four beautiful children. In her spare time she's operating her planning business named Anewby Design Party Planning & Decor.

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Before moving into full time ministry, Jocelyn served as the Lower School Assistant Director for a private school in Orlando. She has experience in program management and development, communications and marketing, bookkeeping, and ministry leadership. In addition to her role at St. Mary’s, she serves on the communications team for the Diocese of Central Florida.

Jocelyn enjoys watching cooking shows, attending the theater, reading mystery novels, and trying to convince her husband to adopt another cat.

KIDS CHURCH LEADER

Ella has been involved in Children’s Ministry in a variety of settings and has had the opportunity to serve in ministry around the globe through missionary work. As a student pursuing her Bachelors in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, she brings a unique passion for communication, development, and meeting children where they are.

When Ella isn’t teaching, she loves crafting and art, watching and doing tech for theater, and playing video games. 

ORGANIST

Dr. Carla Edwards is Professor Emeritus of Organ at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She taught there from 1988 - 2018. Carla retired to Orlando and loves living here! She is excited to play Sunday services for St. Mary of the Angels and other area churches.

Carla also enjoys her pets, watching British Detective series, gardening, and cooking.

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Sandra has been serving at St. Mary's since 2020. She has an Associate's Degree in Business, with a focus in Accounting, and brings over 30 years of experience to the team.

She is a cradle Episcopalian, born in New Jersey, and relocated to Florida in 1986. She has 2 grown daughters with her husband, Carroll, and 2 grown stepdaughters. When not working, Sandra enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, music, sports, and going to the beach.
